At L.I.T.E. (Lifting Individuals Through Education), we believe that true empowerment begins with access, to health, to resources, and to dignity. In partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, we were honored to host a Health Fair dedicated to supporting 100 market women—the backbone of their families, markets, and local economies.

This collaborative effort brought essential health services directly to the women where they live and work. During the health fair, participants received on-site health screenings, including blood pressure and glucose checks, helping to increase awareness around chronic conditions that often go undiagnosed due to limited access to care. These screenings were not only preventative but empowering—equipping women with knowledge about their own health and wellbeing.

Beyond screenings, we focused on holistic care and sustainability. Each woman received a hygiene survival kit, thoughtfully curated to support personal cleanliness and promote healthier market environments. Cleanliness is more than appearance, it is dignity, confidence, and public health. By investing in hygiene, we are investing in safer marketplaces and stronger communities.

To further support food security and household stability, each participant was also provided a 25kg bag of rice, helping to ease immediate nutritional needs for themselves and their families.

This health fair represents more than a single day of service, it reflects the power of partnership and shared purpose. Together with our government and international partners, L.I.T.E. continues to champion initiatives that uplift women, strengthen communities, and create pathways to long-term impact.

We are deeply grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters who made this day possible, and most importantly, to the market women whose resilience and strength inspire everything we do.

Together, we educate.
Together, we empower.
Together, we elevate.
